Kapa Research initiated, designed, and operated the first Citizen Service Center (ΚΕP) on behalf of the Hellenic Ministry of Interior in 2002. In 2007 KEP was recognized with the Good Practice Label award by the Europian Union. Today, ΚΕP constitutes one of the major institutional breakthroughs in the fight against bureaucracy in Greece. After successful operation of the first KEP branch in Syntagma square, Kapa Research designed and operated the first pilot network of Citizen Service Centers in the cities of Thessaloniki, Piraeus, Peristeri, Heraklion, Chania, Rethymnon, Agios Nikolaos, Hersonissos, and Maroussi. The company was responsible for staff training and provided technical and operational support in the creation of the complete network of 490 Citizen Service Centers. Kapa Research also operated the KEP help-desk and information lines dealing with citizen requests.
